The IQ's compact footprint for docks and the self-emptying feature are nice touches. If you wish to alter the floor's levels or define areas that are not allowed to be used, you'll need to manually reset the map.
The IQ app provides advanced mapping and automated functions, however it does not have no-go zones. They are only available on iRobot robots. The smart-pathing navigational system gives you greater maneuverability, and its high-pile carpet mode cleans well, although it tends to get caught up in rug tassels. Its iHome speaker allows you to control the robot with voice commands.
In our tests, we discovered that the IQ was able to handle pet hair effectively. It was able to get rid of the majority of hair on floors that were not bare, and a fair amount of rug with a medium pile. It was less effective on shag carpets which was a struggle to reach dirt and dust buried in the fibers. It was able navigate chair legs, small spaces, and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. We did notice it was a little slower on floors with no flooring but it quickly recovered and performed more thoroughly than other robots we tested.
The IQ is a more suitable option for the majority of users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a larger dustbin, a longer battery life and is better in navigating around obstacles. It also has mopping attachments that are able to handle sticky debris. The iRobot, on the other hand feels better built and has less components that require replacement or maintenance, incurs less recurring costs, can create virtual no go zones using its companion application. It can even resume the cleaning process from the point it started if it has run out of battery before finishing the job. The iRobot is also controlled by voice commands, which is an enormous benefit for many users.
Eufy 11S
The eufy RoboVac 11S isn't the most feature-rich robot vacuum on the market however it offers great cleaning power for the price of. The RoboVac 11S is made for those who are budget conscious and do not require a complicated mapping system, or even an application to control it. This robot can run for a long time and includes the remote, a cleaning tool, AC power adapter, charging base and extra filters.

The eufy11S performed well in our tests to remove larger debris and fine dust from floors. It struggled to deep clean medium and high-pile carpets. The device has a tendency to hit furniture and people along its route. However, it can detect obstacles using sensors. It ceases and emits a loud sound when it comes across an obstacle. Then, you can robot cleaner and mop manually guide the device around it and get it to work again.
Another excellent feature of the eufy 11S is its BoostIQ mode that allows you to set the robot to automatically adjust its suction strength to match the floor type and level of the mess. It's also easy to use the remote to direct the 11S in the direction you'd like it to move.
If you don't have many furniture in the room you're looking to vacuum, Single Room Mode is an excellent alternative. The eufy can spend up to 30 minutes cleaning the space it is assigned.
Edge Cleaning is another option that limits the time spent on each surface to 20 minutes. This will extend the battery's life. This feature allows the eufy to move in a spiraling manner cleaning edges and corners.
Miele Complete C1
The Miele Complete C1 is an excellent mid-range canister robot vacuum that can be a great performer on carpet. Its performance on bare floors is also impressive. It can pick up small particles such as rice easily and doesn't lose suction performance even as its dirt bin fills. Its air-sealed, allergy-friendly design capture allergens, keeping your family healthy. It comes with an onboard HEPA and self-emptying bin, which means you don't require additional filters or a vacuum bag.
It's not as effective as the more expensive models, but it's excellent for deep cleaning and taking on stains. Two front cameras provide a live image feed on your smartphone, and it comes with one of the best obstacle avoidance systems we've seen. It has a huge bin, an extended runtime and an easy, bump-free clean-up.
